Who I Work With
This studio is best suited for students who love a challenge and want to take their playing to the next level. I specialize in teaching:
Motivated Beginner and Intermediate Students: Developing students who are excited about music and love playing their instrument.
Advanced High Schoolers: Students preparing for district, all-state, youth orchestras (like AYPO or TCSYO), and college music school auditions.
Dedicated Adult Musicians: Amateurs or semi-professionals looking to refine their technique and master complex repertoire.

To maintain a high standard of learning, I ask all studio members to commit to the following:
Consistent Practice: Arrive at each lesson having spent focused, quality time on your assignments.
Curiosity: Be interested in music and becoming the best possible musician you can.
An Open Mind: Be ready to ask questions, accept feedback, and try new approaches to the instrument.
Lesson Structure
A typical lesson includes:
Tone development exercises to establish and develop a beautiful sound.
Scales, arpeggios, and broken cord exercises to gain fluency in our musical language.
Etudes and exercises from an appropriate clarinet method to build healthy technique and musicality.
Solo music to challenge and keep the student engaged.
Sight reading material, including solo exercises and duets, to sharpen this crucial skill.
